Like mentioned before pull the drums, tighten and check to see if the drum did affect the tightening. While you have the drums off get to the axle adjustment side of the rear and make sure you can push in the axle flange and then pull out again to verify that the axles do have play. You should...

Thanks, but I think he bought the kit from discbrakekits.com. He put in rear disc brakes as well. That wasn't installed right either. Had a ton of problems with that as well.
