    Cutting hood for scoop

I used the skin from the original hood (reinforcement all rotted out) to bend up a scoop for my 65 Belvedere. I cut a round hole to fit my choice of filter and then cut the reinforcement back another 1 1/2" to leave me a flat area to seal the filter housing to the hood skin. Then made cardboard...

    Cutting hood for scoop

Whether its steel or 'glass, its gonna look like this - in other words, without getting up close all you'll see is a dark void ! And ... depending on your choice of air cleaners you'll probably need to hack into the rear structure.

    1970 large oil pan capacity?

Ive been reading and seeing 6 quarts plus 1 quart for the oil filter for 1970 hemi and 440 six pack oil pans but is that correct? How does that little filter hold 1 quart of oil? Seems like an overfill?

What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

Sharon, MA. The Acela trains travel from Boston to either Penn Station or Washington DC. A friend took one to DC a few weeks ago & he clocked it on his phone GPS at 149 mph once it gets south of NYC.

Added the pictures you requested. Both lenses show a part number, 69W29, visible in the pictures. Left lense is the bottom one, right on the top. Left is the one with the blacked out rim. Both have chromed metal surrounds that have "acne" (raised corrosion). Both have no reflector. The blacked...

    Hypothetical Question

There's a responsibilty issue with the 34 y.o. Can he be responsible with your car? Do it once and you'll be asked again. He needs your car to go somewhere else.

    Random picture thread

Sawed off the end of a discount store socket rack and used the label maker to create a home for the otherwise rolling-around-loose sockets. I may need those 32nds sockets again someday. I don't think I've used them since the '80s but I'm not getting rid of them.

What station? A chopped top Ramcharger?? Is it worth fixing up? That would be a cool truck for sure! And hate to see any older vehicle get nailed like that.

Grant steering wheel adapter for 67 column part number

I just received my Grant 1170 wheel Saturday. No help as this was for a 68 Charger. Adapter 4313 was 35.99 on Summit. I see for a 67 the menu said for “most models” doesn’t sound to reliable for getting the correct part.
