Can you tell us what you have? Stock carbs or Promax modified? Are you able to take them apart yourself? I just went through this myself. Your gonna have alot to do in an afternoon, hopefully that person has all of the separate parts and gaskets that you will need.
Having built an Experimental aircraft, unless there is a call out, there isn't anything special about aircraft aluminum. For tubing, I used both 3003 and 5052. The 3003 is soft compared to the 5052. What is specific about using AN fittings, is using the the correct flaring tool, not...
Why would you want the control arms to rest on the bump stops? Bump stops are for excessive travel, as hitting a pot hole or severe change vertically on the road surface. Sounds like you have several other issues to deal with. Torsion bars shouldn't be loose. Someone else here with more...
Seems odd, I replaced the molded pad on my ,'72 Dart " looks just like Mike's " and did not have an issue with the metal clips. It is very helpful to have a second set of hands to help hold it in place till you have it placed correctly. If you do get a hood pad, don't bother with the pad...
The '69 Hemi Road Runner that I am trying to get together had a 4-speed, I even got a scattershield for it. Then decided the hell with it, I'm getting an automatic. So it's now got a 727 reverse valve body Coan trans in it. I'm not looking back. Be happy!
Yes, you can do it. I did it on my '69 Road Runner. I did have pretty much everything out of the dash though. Steering column, gauges, radio and heater. Oh, and definitely the front seat out. I had all of that out anyway, from there, not that difficult.
Power valves probably have something to do with it. Double Pumper, 2 PV's? This sounds dumb, but my Sixpack richens up by going from a 160 summer thermostat to a 195 for fall and spring. I probably wouldn't go drilling out air bleeds unless you are that kinda guy. If you were good at all...
How about Van's in Waupun, Wisconsin? Just looked, they have a kit for an A Body, it's expensive, $99. Looks like the boot is the same? How about that boot from jimbosride?
I doubt that painting the outside of the radiator is your problem. Did your supposed heating problem start after you painted it? Most old radiators were painted black. I even painted my aluminum radiator black.
I just did this on my Dart, would think that any B body would be similar. Un hook and pull steering column back. Un hook the PS pump to gain room. Remove battery and battery tray. Pull pitman arm and 3 bolts on steering gear from bottom. Remove two hoses. Remove nut from bottom of...
