my GTX and the Pumpkin both set up about 9/32 (a fat 1/4).......its not uncommon to have 5/16 hood to cowl, so it doesnt hit I've had other B Bodies set up 3/16 +/-

I grew up farming with equipment from the 1950s. Oak blocks are useful for a lot of things, including making sure multi-ton stuff can't roll..... or fall on you.....
