Where/How to mount my old school Sun Tachometer (NOS)?

From YY1 post #8: "What? You're not going to use 3/8x3" self taping screws straight through the top of the dash pad? (Gee, it boils my blood when I see that)" At this point, a hood mounted tach looks to be the most functional and aesthetically pleasing. However, not practical for this...

Probably both. I'm just unlucky with this car. The rebuilt starter only lasted for a few months.

    Minii starter disaster job.

I've installed mini starters in all sorts of classic V8 Mopars. NONE had an interference issue, every one of them worked. Am I lucky or just sexy ?

    Minii starter disaster job.

I know. I just don't want to use another rebuilt starter only to have to change it again. The one that came with my car is still pretty clean and is a rebuild. It failed after a few months.

What's it Worth 1970 Dodge Charger R/T 440 Manual Track Pack Car Barn Find

Thats a really nice car. Assuming I paid $25k for it that would only leave me $150k to restore it. Im assuming panel, body and paint work would be at least $90k. I can do a lot but I can't do sheet metal, body work and paint. ALso think about the drive train and rebuild and general parts...

I'm going to try another one, and this time I'm going to change the cable from the battery to the starter. That way I can cut it to length and properly setup the new starter.

I was doing it the way it was setup already. I found what your saying to be right. Hanging it on the stud might make it easier to fenagle the bottom bolt in, instead of the other way around. I barely fit my fingers up there to get that damn bolt in.

    Fratzog Stool

Second Generation Chargers do not say Dodge anywhere on the car and the only fratzog is on the steering wheel.

    Yay, trunk surprise

Last resort if nothing else works....... Could be that the rod between the lock and latch fell off so when you turn it, it won't pop the latch. If you drill a hole through the lock, you can stick a long screwdriver through the hole, into the little slot of the latch (verticle slot in...
