What's it Worth 1970 Dodge Charger R/T 440 Manual Track Pack Car Barn Find

Perfect example of why the hobby is dying, seller asking $32K and people here trying to justify it or something remotely close. This is a case of musical chairs and eventually the music is going to stop and all those with stupid money in these cars are going to be left crying. Its a cool car...

What's it Worth 1970 Dodge Charger R/T 440 Manual Track Pack Car Barn Find

There are not many businesses that qualify for a tax deduction on a classic car, just like boats, but that would likely fly. The IRS has been around the block a few times and is looking for this kind of stuff. And, in general, you can't write off your firearms and ammo purchases as 'security...

Circuit Protection and the "Shunt wire" by-pass

Here is what I started with. You can jump towards the end to see how I setup the fusible links and relocated the alternator wire. The insulation on the fusible link wire is really thick so it made inserting the terminal into the bulkhead connector hard. Would have been easier if I used TXL...

    Serpentine upgrade? Yes or no?

If you don't like the billet look, paint them black !! A serpentine bely has WAY more surface contact on the pulleys - virtually no chance of slippage AND less chance of cracking because they're thinner. Just some points to consider !

Agreed: If the guy "didn't know what he had" , he would have listed it for $3k and sold it right away.

What's it Worth 1970 Dodge Charger R/T 440 Manual Track Pack Car Barn Find

I remember a guy who bought one of Tim Wellborn's Chargers, and a '69 Hemi Road Runner, both went to Apex in Wisconsin for deep pocket nut and bolt restorations. He owned a dozen Dodge dealerships. The Road Runner ended up in one of his showrooms, probably written off as a marketing expense. At...

plastic piece on brake lever from emergency/park brake - where to get?

Here's my hot tip: put them in backwards - no they won't be original BUT the spring puts force on the small flange and has a tendency to push the piece out. Putting it in backwards puts the large flange against the spring and it can't push out.

Fan belts squealing - can’t seem to solve

Going back to trying one of my old Quanta’s show poodle old-style belts to see if it helps. Soaped it up good first. Will see what this does this afternoon. I’ve accumulated a good number of unused and low use belts by now.

What's it Worth 1970 Dodge Charger R/T 440 Manual Track Pack Car Barn Find

It's always funny to see potential buyers asking 'What's this car worth' not realizing the sellers and their antourage are also watching these forums very very closely. So the answer to 'Do they know what they have ?' is 'YES'.

1974 Roadrunner Re-Paint and Some Upgrades

Spending some money!!! I like your suspension plan and think you will be happy with it when it is done. I might suggest a sector support addition to the bottom of the Pittman arm to stabilize that. The steering shaft can actually flex quite a bit, and this will lead to a bit of "sloppiness" in...
