WTB YOUR SICK OF IT!!! LOOKING FOR A HEADACHE!! WTB 68-70 Charger. The Kind That’s Destroyed Relationships and Bank Accounts.

I'm going to say no since they didn't give it a
"catchy" name.

Ok, it made ME laugh anyway! I must be the only one. Lol. And he got plenty of responses so he got everyone’s attention. I own nice 70 RT and have several Charger buddies and several contacts in the area. There are still rust free cars in west Texas for sure, and I can occasionally find a willing seller once in awhile. It’s been awhile since I found a project car that the wife is ready to leave or a guy has given up on. As of right now off the top of my head, I know where about five or six cars are that could be bought possible. I was trying to buy a complete 70 Charger RT that was rust free and complete, but it sold. I’m still trying to make contact with the guy that bought it. He got it when he bought the land it was on. However, most all of the cars I know of are cars that need complete restoration and have not been taken apart yet and people are not looking to sell them. They are in the category of “I’m going to fix it it someday”. I do know of a 68 or 69 that they last time I talked to the lady that owns it, was willing to sell it. It has belonged to her dad and he passed away. It is sitting in her garage. It’s a 383 and has had some funky interior mods but it’s all there. They were asking $30,000. It’s been a few years. At the time they had been watching way too much TV and it was overpriced in my opinion, but if they have not sold it by now, if might could be bought. The only problem with these cars is you can get them for free now and by the time you get them done with today’s ridiculous costs, your in over your head.

Honestly, I’m the guy that for years has just seen the future value in a project car solely because of inflation. If you buy the right car and keep it long enough, it better than money in the bank. I bought my original paint all original 70 RT for top dollar in 2004 for $13,000. I think I can make a little bit on it!
I went to go buy a 1970 Charger hood for sale in Las Vegas back in 2015. Upon arriving at his house he had a 1969 Charger R/T that he was pondering on selling but did not have it listed yet. Complete driver car and rust free. Original paint. Gold with with top and white R/T stripe. A few mods under the hood but mostly all original. Auto console with a 440. 30K was his asking price. I had the funds but it would've strapped me. I kept his number if I changed my mind after I left out of there with the hood. I never did get back with him or never knew if he had sold it. We're looking at a $60,000+ Charger R/T here in 22025. smh

I think I read somewhere that B5 was the most popular colour, but I could be wrong. I know that B5 with white top, C stripe, and buckets makes for one beautiful car. That’s what wife and I have on the Wannabee. I like B7, also.
I thought F8 Green was the most popular in 68-69.

Every one has had one they regret selling or passing on buying. I regret selling my A12 Super Bee,and my 71 Barracuda convertible. I regret cutting up a 68 Charger R/T, i should have parted out the 68 318 car I was driving and saved the R/T. And I regret passing on a 70 Charger R/T SE survivor car in B5 blue with 32,000 pampered miles on it for 18 grand in 1994.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane Roger. I had totally forgot about that a$$.
Thanks. I don't want anyone to forget that drama. That guy put us all through so much grief....it was a joy when he left.

As long as we're on the subject.. was B5 considered a high impact color??
Not as far as I know.

I have always been of the belief that there were only seven Hi-Impact colours offered.

Chrysler had to reject these HIP color name suggestions:
Catch Me Copper,
Unforeseeable Fuchsia,
Hi-Ho Silver,
Well-Red,
Cost of Living Rose,
Fisher Body Rust, and
Frank Lloyd White.
