My bank told me if I have enough money in my account to cover the check Im depositing the funds are available immediately. If not they put a hold on it until it clears the issuing bank.

I use a bent hacksaw blade to hold the rod up while sliding the pump arm in. I would also just replace the rod while you have everything apart.

It sprays on. It's a foam. Let it soak in and wipe the bugs off. It is a great window cleaner as well. You can find it at Wal Mart and Menards.

I bet spraying the front with wd40 or maybe baby oil (or similar) before driving would be a good preventative
