My least favorite thing about classic cars is...

I know it sucks, but if your going to drive that car as hard as it sounds you will. $1400 is cheap insurance to keep both of your feet.

I never had a second bite of liver. ONCE as a kid, I had a bite and didn't finish the piece of meat. Mom understood and never tried a second time.

All of the 1970 Charger custom cars with custom grilles seem to abandon the concealed headlight design and it never is an improvement. Why are all these cars gray or black? At a glance, you'd think they are all the same car with minor changes. Then there was THIS '69 Charger sporting...

The longest recorded fast in human history was undertaken by Angus Barbieri, a Scottish man, between 1965 and 1966. He fasted for a total of 382 days, consuming only water, tea, coffee, and vitamins. During this time, he lost approximately 276 pounds (125 kilograms) to reach his target weight of...

No: I have always hated those wheels. Honestly I'd keep the wire wheelcovers instead. They sort of fit on a shaggin wagon playing disco duck on the 8 trk but There are better choices for that too.

Reground crank, matching main and rod bearings. Google'd 318 crank kit, found one for $188, plus shipping and tax. I don't know if that's with or without a core.

65 Belvedere II that just followed me home

I think you made out good on the '65. If it was in the budget I would have been on it. They can bring big money and I've never been at the right place at the right time to own one yet. They have always been my favorite. Good luck with it!

I had the almost-identical wheels.... on my trailer. They are bunches better than whitewalls and wheel covers. As noted above, westerns are a quality piece. They would not be my first choice. If you have em... run em If they still belong to somebody else.... I'd look around some more.

Generally, the crankshaft (pick your size for mains and rods), bearings (again, pick your sizes), end seals and gaskets. You can also decide if you want to do a stroker at this point... You'll need to have a machine shop work your block first though, so you know what size bearings you need to...
