I never had a second bite of liver.
ONCE as a kid, I had a bite and didn't finish the piece of meat. Mom understood and never tried a second time.

Never had liver.

Had rocky mountain oysters...once. Until it was explained to me what they were.

Depressingly enough....it was actually pretty tasty. Kinda makes you wonder, though - "who was the first person to decide 'yea...I'll eat that'"? Rocky mountain oysters. Liver. Lobster. Crabs. Oysters? Who makes that leap from "ugh" to "food" for the first time?? Seriously - how hungry would you have to be, to be the first human being to look at a lobster, and think....."dinner"?

I feel sorry those who didn’t get to find the true taste.
My parents believed that meat had to cooked thoroughly.
Cooked wild game until it was hard to cut.
I was told that liver had iron, didn’t know it was overcooked. Thought I was eating rusty files.
Got married and found out that liver if not overcooked was delicious.
We relish beef, lamb and chicken livers. Enjoyed wild game livers, but unfortunately my hunting days are over.

I have eaten liver. When it is cooked properly, with fried onions, it is pretty good. A local restaurant here, does it well. My wife likes it better than me, though. When she orders it, I usually have a piece of it,too. Lobster, oysters, and other seafood, is a NO for me. If you see me at Red Lobster, it's not me. LOL

I don't like cooked white onions, either.

So, double pass for me.
