`70 road runner, FC7, 383, 727 It`s waited long enough, finally time to get it done.

Passenger outside is not as nice as the drivers side with a bunch of dents and filler. It has a few rust spots in the lower front corner that looks like it will blow thru and need a small patch welded in. It's still WAY better than any other old '70's car I've worked on.

Rear shoulder belts in a 1970 Charger

Heck yeah! The recent software changes to the forum have had some pictures come through out of position. Some are clocked 90 or 180 degrees. It does not matter if pictures are posted with a phone or laptop, this glitch affects both. The new package tray with the belt guides looks like a factory...

1971 RR AC Blower Control Switch

Thanks John! I’m thinking someone cut up the mounting plate for some reason. It was done pretty accurately though, looks almost factory. I can’t figure out why they would though. I found switches for A, B and E bodies on the internet and they pretty much look the same as yours and the images I...

    Questions about front shocks.

Apparently the part numbers are correct and these shocks are within spec as far as RCD is concerned. On the face of it I didn’t care for them being short either but in the end as long as the suspension isn’t being unloaded violently over and over I don’t see what could go wrong. I can say that...

1971 RR AC Blower Control Switch

Chad, the one you found on the internet looks to be somewhat correct, but the number of connectors looks off. The mounting pattern is the same. Here's a pic of the back of my blower motor switch. I assume the non A/C and A/c one would be the same.

Rear shoulder belts in a 1970 Charger

The interior is back in and the belt retractors work just fine. The belt mounts are different in the Coronet from Greg's Charger. I don't know if its because they're a different model, or different year. In Jigsaw, the lower belt mount is secured to the rocker panel. In the Coronet, there's...

    Ignition Issues

I went in and re-wired everything back to original through the block and she fired right up....maybe the direct 12v overwhelmed the ECU? Anyway, I drove her for 30 minutes, 70 mph on the highway and never a giggle. Got home and laid a hand on the coil (picture) and it was not as hot as the...

Found a new project. Ram D250

Depending on how bad the rod bearings spun: big end black-replace rods, big end normal iron color-resize. When the rod end gets HOT due to friction, the oil cooks onto it and turns the big end black. When it does this, the rod bore pulls in at the parting line and can normally not be resized...
