Hello all, I started cleaning up my heater/AC control unit for my 1971 Road Runner. And, like everything else on this car, a PO decided to “fix” it previously. It looks like my AC blower switch has been modified or it’s the wrong one. When I took it out for cleaning, it was held in with a DIY brace covered in electrical tape. It also looks like the original mounting “wings” have been cutoff and the remaining pieces bent in. The wire connections are pointed straight up, on others online, they appear to point to the right. Is this even the correct switch?

What I have:

What I’ve been able to find on the internet:

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Chad, the one you found on the internet looks to be somewhat correct, but the number of connectors looks off.
The mounting pattern is the same.

Here's a pic of the back of my blower motor switch.

I assume the non A/C and A/c one would be the same.

Thanks John! I’m thinking someone cut up the mounting plate for some reason. It was done pretty accurately though, looks almost factory. I can’t figure out why they would though. I found switches for A, B and E bodies on the internet and they pretty much look the same as yours and the images I posted.

And my plastic mount is white where others I’ve seen are black like yours. I’m guessing that’s one of the differences between AC and non-AC?
