    New thicker steel oil pan!

The only differences between a B and a RB is deck height and distributor hole. The oil pan rails timing cover and rear seal are same on B and RB's. Don't think oil pump drive is difficult. Tell what is else is different?

    Oil pump question

Pump drive failure is usually connected to crap seizing up the pump. From my experiences. It would have to be a pretty soft drive for it to fail from turning a pump IMO

    Fuel / Carb Cleaners

What do you guys use to add to the tank to clean your carb and fuel system. I've used Lucas as well as STP high mileage fuel and carb cleaner. I was recently told that marvelous mystery oil fuel additive would be better to use, so was looking to see what you guys thought.

I hate Pennsylvania! I lived in Maryland most of my life. This was supposed to be a temporary investment but I'm still here after 15 or so years  I like Quaker Oats. Exactly! I can't remember how many vehicles I've worked on that had used QS and they were so gunked up inside. Top...

I'm getting close to switching to a roller cam in the big block!

Kern: Checking installed height gives you the ability to measure what your closed pressure is. From there you can measure open pressure based on your cam and verify it is what you need. But an important measurement is also to measure from the bottom of the retainer to the valve guide oil seal...
