    Car Show Gripe/Rant

My 33 has won a few shows, but not ever again. I'm too lazy and old to bother doing the prep to take a "show car" to a car show. I do enjoy going to car shows now, cause I can walk through the show, look at cars, and talk to people, and leave when I want. But it seems I talk to more people at...

Being involved in the show, it is interesting seeing how different owners act in relation to how their cars are handled. There’s owners there of half million dollar or even million dollar cars who toss Bob Ashton the keys at the show and say “do what you gotta do, seeya later!” Then others who...

    What's it Worth WIW 8 3/4 bare housing 54 1/4"

Lots of complete open rears around, I don't see much value in just the bare housing. Maybe $50-75?

    Car Show Gripe/Rant

I may have said this already. My story at the shows. I worked on my 77 camper van all winter. George worked on his Austin Healey all winter. As a test I drove my van to the Arctic Ocean and back with no problems. As a test, George drove his Healey from the bottom of our Island to the top, and...

While I do enjoy the budget builds and resurrecting some neglected vehicles, I don’t find the hack-job mentality appealing. I truly despise that type of work. I guess in some form it’s TV entertainment, but to me it’s just sad and inexcusable.

I should be arriving there some time around 2:30 tomorrow to help Captain Coconut set up his display. If cars are still being unloaded I’ll try to document it. He’s en route right now.

    Fuel Pump Slowly Dies

The owner of the Charger in this thread used an electric pump which caused his car to burn up: Check your fuel lines Just remember, you're changing what used to be a suction line to a pressure line. Just need to make sure the hoses are up to snuff, and inspect the metal lines for damage/corrosion.

This is what the drivers get paid to do. Over time I’m sure they encounter all sorts of crazy situations that don’t normally come up when dealing with ‘regular’ cars. There is a lot of money and ego involved and if/when things go wrong it’s a big deal for everyone involved so it sort of...

    5/16 fuel line restriction?

I've found that even with a PV check valve in place for cough protection, the PV's can still get damaged sometimes.

FOR SALE '68-'70 Dodge Plymouth Antenna Bezel & Nut, Driver Quality PN#2889924

Thanks for looking out for me! I sourced one already, but it took months. Somebody sent me one that was wrong; the outer ring hole diameter was too small and the correct inner tube lock nut and antenna saddle wouldn't fit; but I finally ended up with a nice one and installed it. And wouldn't you...
