I just bought some Timkins for my 74.

On conversion packages like the Doc's, it would be a good idea to get some semi metallic pads for them. To meet the lowest price point so they can generate sales, the pads supplied are not the best. On the Doc's stuff, it uses D84 units which is an industry number. I bought a set off Amazon, Wagner units, to replace the no grab, noisy ones supplied with the package. Big difference for not a lot of money. Greg ran into that also with the 03-07 Mustang GT based units from the Doc.

Cass told me that the pads in his kits, the 11.75" stage 2 at least, come from him with semi metallic pads. Maybe there is a big quality difference in different brands? I never asked him which specific ones he is sending out.
