Certainly says steel right there on the website, even looks the part, too. I can't go faster than 12.0 in the 1/4 mile, 7.50 in the quarter, during the heat of summer usually not a problem but when it cools off it can get close. My drag car deals with the weight fine, but I can see where it...
How big can you go on the rear with the factory Dana 60 and stock wheelhouses? I kind of like the look of ultralite or draglites. Id want as wide as I could fit without rubbing. And advice on wheel sets or tiresizes?
...next 3wks or so. Once they're set going to get on rear-end. Figured first step before anything, measure, measure, measure. I'll know for sure what I have, what I need. This car will be driver only so tiresizes will be common, easy to source. Should be plenty of space for whatever combo happens.
It can be done, but to do it safe is a different story
movie stunts they add a crapload of ballast to the farthest point in the rear
you can also
free up the front end suspension,
it need to seperate & lift as much as possible (at your power levels)
remove the front sway bar
get slant 6...
...to be able to swap back and forth as my “mood” and travels dictate. likely 17x8 all around, same 4.5 backspace as the 15’s. Staggered tiresizes, likely 255-50 front and 275-50 rear for the 17’s.
my question, will alignment change or need to be changed ? I have QA1 upper control arms, about...
Exactly, the clocking of the adapter only accounts for the different sizes of speedo pinion so that they will actually mesh with the teeth on the output shaft, that's all...
My spiffy keystones are 15x7 all around, 245/60/15 in the front, 255s in the back, they’re from 1984 and not quite as spiffy as they look in pictures, but the car isn’t perfect either so it works out. I wanted 15x8s or bigger with 275 or 295, but the eBay seller didn’t know how a tape measure...
My point as well.
Misleading posts that leave out far more info than they share helps nobody. Wild claims with no detailed explanation will get no responses from the introverted and quiet members but when I see what looks like bullshit, I'm going to call it out.
Who makes variable duration...
...a set of dog dish hubcaps but they aren't chrome like some are. They look like this but are painted silver. I like them with the caps or without using long chrome lug nuts. It was odd that they were painted. On the back raw side, two were silver and two were bronze. I'm all ears on tire...
Hey,
I am going to convert my 68 charger from front drum to power disc.
What kit do you recommend?
I would like to use Magnum 500 wheels.
*What tiresizes can I use on the front and rear?
Hey just wanted to update you and all the other guys on here. I work and build tires for Goodyear in Lawton, OK. We did buy out Cooper and all their companies.
I looked up available tires in the sizes I run on Fred on tirerack.com and only two
options came up - the aforementioned Coopers and BFG's.
As far as where each is manufactured:
BFG:
Cooper:
For those who can't see the details in the pics, they both indicate that their country of manufacture...
Not yet, but as I posted I plan on it, using the AMD tubs that they came out with relatively recently.
I have those 3 Roadrunner pix saved for years now because I LOVE the way "dat ***" looks!
So another factor in the "wheel and tire" equation is appearance, along with function that we have...
My "spatial memory" recall tells me a P245-R15 on your wheels should be fine up front, but P255-R15 up front might rub. Do a fit check if possible. Also, a tire dealer might not recommend the P255 for a 7" wide wheel. I tend to agree; and that's why I went with 15x8.5 on my first B body.
