    The Headrest option

Yeah, aware of that. Just sort of surprised that it was not especially since the radio choice was.

    Mechanical six pack question

The “triple pumper” 6-pack setup has side hung float bowls (not “V” bowls) and fuel enters on driver’s side instead of passenger side. Trans-Adapt (?) or some other aftermarket company sold the linkage (I used to have one). I never ran the triple-pumper, but I’m sure there’s no bog, but gas...

    Annoying TV ads part 15

So, there are two commercials on T.V. from Comcast that blow me away with their creativeness! Mind you, I HATE Comcast, but these commercials are great! Frankenstein in the Castle asking "Anything about the Bangs? and the Rabbit commercial with the 1950's band with Louis Jordan, And the green...

    Battery tray, Hemi

Yep, aftermarket covers is the issue. I have done it both ways. 1) notch the tray. 2) on this car I moved the battery to the trunk.

Does intake need machining after zero decking block.

With your gasket dimensions for the Cometic HG, entering the other piston dimensions of 4.300" ring area diameter, the top land dimension of 0.250", and a guess at the chamfer of 0.031" @60 degrees because it would seem that "Maff" is hard for some. It is too difficult to see that a chamfer is...

Does intake need machining after zero decking block.

When I put a new intake on an engine, I usually bolt it to one head only with no gaskets. I also take a cheap electric endoscope and match up the ports. Then I use feeler gauges to measure the gap between the intake and the head. You also check the taper in the space if there is any. If it's...

    Rebuilding LemonWedge.

Back to the motorplate topic for a moment…. Sounds like the eng. / trans joint is less of a concern that I envisioned. But would an engine limiter such as this be helpful at all, mounted at the driver-side mid-plate location? I know this is a location that is already crowded. Just...

Stop on in for a cup of coffee!

Almost lunchtime. I think I'll warm up some leftover hamburger I made Maid Rites a couple days ago. That's a restaurant name here in the Midwest. They are also called "Loose meats" or "Taverns". Mine are more like Taverns, cooked with onions, catsup, mustard, Worcestershire and chili powder...

    Mechanical six pack question

I've always been a Mopar mega fan, but I've never heard of this. In the 70s you could buy a six pack that had been converted to mechanicals for 300 bucks. Some guys who didn't like mechanicals would trade straight up for a good working four barrel set up.

He’d just bought a house but was not new to the area. Guessing he was in the process of moving? I don’t know for sure.
