Almost all I know about six packs is book learning. I remember car magazines back in the day talking about mechanical linkage on six pack cars. It was said that they work just fine for drag racing as one was coming off the line with enough RPMs to avoid bog. on the street was a different story.

Question part: I saw a six pack set up that had accelerator pumps on all three carbs. It seems like that would eliminate bog. I don't know enough to know.

I ran two of the mechanical setups with all 3 accelerator pumps. Very nice setup with great response and super easy to tune. 3.23 gears, 4 speed on one of the setups and it had awesome response.

I've always been a Mopar mega fan, but I've never heard of this. In the 70s you could buy a six pack that had been converted to mechanicals for 300 bucks. Some guys who didn't like mechanicals would trade straight up for a good working four barrel set up.

The “triple pumper” 6-pack setup has side hung float bowls (not “V” bowls) and fuel enters on driver’s side instead of passenger side. Trans-Adapt (?) or some other aftermarket company sold the linkage (I used to have one). I never ran the triple-pumper, but I’m sure there’s no bog, but gas mileage must be HORRIBLE

I ran one many years ago with a 4 speed. It didn't bog but it wasn't fast either. Running on just the center carb with the outers disconnected was much faster up tp about 3700 rpm.
