What makes sense to me is: A) less atmospheric pressure on the bottom side of the piston. With a vacuum condition, the piston is technically being sucked down in the cylinder from the crankcase. B) it sucks the rings securely to both their lands...
Currently doing the exact same thing!! Cloning a 1970 Coronet 500 into a Super Bee, 383 with 727 tranny and 3.55 rear end. Plum crazy white white vinyl roof and interior. Hope to have it ready for the Mopar Nationals next year in Carlisle, Pa. Any words of wisdom you can share?

I have refurbished/repaired consoles over the years. Non of the consoles rattle and I made sure everything lined up correctly. Our 4 spd has been run down the track along with our auto’s. Not one of the consoles rattles.
They're cheap.
Take your belt off and run it through it's range, if it has a sticky point or if the pulley is crunchy, toss one on.
I replace it every time I replace a belt.
Looks nice. Was able to zoom in on the CL picture to see it is T7 Bronze.

I didn't read all these posts , but my 440/505 is zero decked , and the victor intake ft it perfectly everywhere , so did the weiand I had on it before >>.
I would rethink putting anyone in a seat with a rollbar in front of them high speed impacts will not be absorbed by foam. If you aren't racing it, just cut the darn thing out. I am an overprotective dad.
Car looks great, seems like a really good deal.
I'm kind of digging the yellow on the car now. I think I would paint the engine bay body color and call it a day. There are a lot of purple cars out there already.....
