    Sheet Metal Divider, How to?

OK, cutting metal and wondering how you guys navigated this issue. The place where the roll cage bar passes through the divider, the spot that I didn't cut yet. Did you make a cut along a (see dotted) line to allow the piece to be opened up and pass over the bar? If so, how did you treat the...

    Radiator Recore

I remember paying $125 for a new radiator for the farm truck. 78 Chev. Last year I got a new core for my camper van, original type. Cost over $1000. He too is closing shop. How come my 41 Ford tractor is still running on most of its original stuff. Except the electronic ignition.

    Re-use Transmission Bands or Replace?

I never swap out reverse bands unless they are damaged. My racecar has had the same kickdown band since 2014. Close to 900 runs. Looks like new everytime it's been torn down. Doug

    Re-use Transmission Bands or Replace?

I rarely change the rear band. It is mainly holding a stopped drum, so there would not be much wear. The front band is grabbing a spinning drum on the 1-2 shift, so is subject to more wear. I would change it.

    Vintage trap door air cleaner

That hose connection on the bottom is for cold starts. There would have been a connection at your stock exhaust manifold to run a hose from the air cleaner too. On cold starts the flappers close off air from entering the snorkel and allow hot air from the exhaust to flow into the air cleaner...
