    Heater core replacement

Hey guys! I need to replace the heater core in my 66 Belvedere. Can it be done without removing the dash? I'm old and fat (ugly too) and I can't get into the tight spots like I used to. Did this on a 64 Dart, and tore up the cowl intake hoses Thanks for the help !

It's the sitting on the ground with the car weight on em that bothers me. Sitting on jackstands for that time, I think my concerns would be different.

    Good Guy Alert!!! Delta V

Lucky you! One of the items on my to-do list at MCACN was to buy one of those 1/64 Sport Fury GTs from AutoWorlds booth. On my first break around 11:30 Saturday morning I made a beeline over there, and found they were already sold out! Popular item!

I hate loading a trailer that way too, but circumstances required it. Thats why its as far forward on the trailer as I could get it. Made it easy to roll into the garage. Actually moved three cars to AZ butt first, so far. The 33 and two 55 Belair hdtps.

    Can’t believe it’s mine.

Replacing the whole dash is just an expense that I’m not going to do right now.. I’m not reusing any factory wiring either, a universal harness is going in soon. Might consider building my own rally style cluster with aftermarket gauges

Man, be careful getting back on the roads after drifting off the pavement

Yep. It's just human nature, A reflex action to jerk the wheel to get back on the highway. It can easily send you sideways across the lanes and into the median. You see a lot of skid marks across the highway lanes if you pay attention. Let your foot off the gas and slow to 30 or less and ease...

Just remove the windshield and the Rallye dashboard is a direct bolt in. If you decide to go that route, you will need to order the dash wiring harness for a 1970 rallye dash.

That is alot of weight in one area. Use a different tire shop next time. 8 years ? It's the sitting in one spot that bothers me.

Man, be careful getting back on the roads after drifting off the pavement

I can remember as a kid (back in the '60's) there was a public service tv commercial drawing attention to this type of incident and instructing drivers how to safely get back on the pavement. Even though that was 60 years ago, it still pops into my mind if I happen to drop a wheel off of the...
