I am selling my "EMPTY" NOS HEMI alternator box for part number 2098850.
About 25 years ago I purchased an NOS alternator for a restoration project.
I have sold that car and no longer need the NOS box.
I have seen these 2098850 HEMI alternators sell for over $2,000.00...
What's your plan for lifters? I wiped a 6401 in my 383, but not sure if that was caused by egged lifter bores, or poor quality lifters. I followed all the break-in procedures.i also read where I should have broke it in with stock springs...
I'm building a 440 now, so I'd rather not have this...
Do not leave the stock spring in it. If your shifting it manually at any time it will not release the band fast enough and act like its locking up for a second (because it kind of is). It's not too bad of a job to do in the car, the worst part is getting the F$%#@^& snap in the extension housing...
Laying straight edge on mine, shows a slight swoop from about mirror location back, deepest point is close to 1/8 as shown. Both sides appear the same. Correct? I don't know, but to just look at them they appear straight, but not so on mine.
