I think you may be on to something. These 66 hemi cars came out late: there was a HP2 batch then months went by with another final batch. If production issues caused the lateness and production pause, those issues typically result in assembly variation

No we believe it was a U-Joint Failure I wish I had taken a picture it ripped an arm off the u-joint through the zerk fitting When we put it back together I went with larger, solid u-joints

Nice original 68-69 park lamp assembly. Lens is driver quality and the gasket is there. Housing has been repainted. Wiring is good and I put a bulb in it just to test and it works as it should. Tough to find original working units where the wiring is uncut and the bulb socket is not rotted out...
