Yes, ground the circuit with the key on engine off (KOEO). The oil lamp should illuminate. If it does, based on the information provided, I would suspect that the oil pressure switch is faulty.

The USCT Loop is a nice piece it's well made and easy to install with no welding or drilling A little expensive but I think worth it

From the factory, there are no gaskets between the head and manifold. I have great success using a little high-temperature silicone on a "straight" manifold.
