I removed the 2 nuts on the bottom of the passenger side rubber mount. The top nut on the driver side and loosened the transmission mount. That gave enough clearance. The motor wouldnt drop back down after bolting on the new manifold. I had to put the block on the drivers side oil pan rail and...
It may be the original gas tank, but I would bet the sending unit has been replaced at some point. The other seniaro is that if it's the original sending unit, it needs to be rebuilt.
