Greetings. One of my winter projects is installing the full TTI exhaust system on my 1964 Dodge 440. Is it best to work front to back? Pre-assemble some pieces? I will be laying on concrete with the car on jack stands.

I believe tti generally says: Back to front. Headers first. Then the system back to front. Good luck

They will include instructions.

Thanks all. I sawzalled all the old exhaust off already. Waiting for my manual steering box to arrive so I can install that. Then install the new driver side manifold. I have some band clamps. Hopefully the exhaust system install goes well as it's 23 degrees today and I don't think it's going to warm up for awhile

Laying cardboard down, to lay on, is well worth the effort. That little bit of 'padding/ insulation' makes all the difference in the world.

After installing the headers, install the tail pipe hangers and tail pipes for clearance around the fuel tank and axle.
If you have exhaust tips, you might need to shorten the length of the tail pipes.
Having the tail pipes in place will help determine where the mufflers need to be placed. You will need something to hold the mufflers in place, like wood blocks or a jack, while installing and adjusting the H or X pipes and the header collector adaptors for best fit.
If not using the TTI headers you might need to modify the collector adaptors. On My Charger with Hooker 2" headers I had to shorten the H-pipe tube also, but that was over 30 years ago, so I don't know if they have changed the collector adaptors since then.
On the Convertible I used the TTI headers and X-pipe and I believe it fit up to the headers good, but I think I might have needed to shorten the muffler side of the X-Pipe tubes.
The band style exhaust clamps are a good idea. I used the supplied U-Bolt clamps and it was a bear to remove the X-pipe when I swapped the transmission.

Thank you 451. No headers here. I'll attach the head pipes first then install the tail pipe hangers and go from there as you suggest. The system is MW manifolds back. Has the cross over and cut outs.

System is installed. Mufflers seem To hang a little low. I will drive it a bit when the roads clear of salt and adjust if necessary.

I've installed two sets of TTI exhaust. The first one I did back to front, the second I did front to back. Didn't make any difference. Leave everything loose until everything is installed and sitting the way you like it. Also look at the pieces closely, TTI stamps them left and right. Even though they may look the same, if you put them on the wrong side it will effect the way everything lines up. Use band clamps, it will make Removal easier for future projects.
