interior sail panel board does it have clips?

70 Charger SE, Vinyl Top. I just located the pics below. They suggest the headliner completely covered it and the sail panel was uncovered. There were the clips that were in it. I have no reason to believe someone replaced them/removed the headliner prior, it's been in the family for 45+ years...

Mass Shooting in Stockton California... Four Dead, three children...

I hauled out of Stockton a lot 20 years ago. Slept in my truck at our yard with the windows down and a 9mm under my pillow. Never an issue... but things change.

My friend advised me to pour a crankcase full of old oil on the floor.

Pretty good, give it a month or two. Probably busy formulating new questions for thread starters. To the question at hand, the 30's are over. I'd recommend a can or 2 of RustCheck, the red can.

My friend advised me to pour a crankcase full of old oil on the floor.

Even if the oil was a good rust stopper, and you were prepared to do the cleaning needed later to get any paint to stick, why pour on used oil if you're worried about the smell? A can of new oil would be a lot fresher and less odorous.

    Welding out the last cage….

You guys are all inspiring! It’s really great to hear guys still having fun and producing nice work into their 70’s. Hopefully me someday! I’m 59, and the eyes aren’t what they used to be. But I’m more inspired today to take my time and produce good work than ever before.

My friend advised me to pour a crankcase full of old oil on the floor.

If the rust is really bad, and you intend to fix it someday, the oil is just going to be a pain in your ***. You can't weld on oil, can't paint on oil, can't even use the usual acid type rust converters on oil. So, you will spend a bunch of time and effort removing a bunch of dirty oil off of...
