I too am warming to Gen IIIs. Especially the Charger. I've never owned one. Only Gen II Plymouths.
I'm not going out of the way to hunt, but if I ran across? I wouldn't have any buyer's remorse. (Come to think of it. I've never had "Buyer's Remorse." Selling? Every single time!)
I think you are concerned about the "star head". It is actually a 12 point bolt they work great and work perfectly with a 12 point socket. I bet you already have the socket.:thumbsup:
According to the older gentleman I spoke to the number that’s on my rmvb is rare, just typing what I was told. I do plan on taking this trans apart for a rebuild. It will be my first. I have a great book and plenty of videos to guide me. I will be taking the RMVB off to examine the top of it.
Birdsong had a 73 Charger SE but the views for that car didn’t get very many hits so he stopped making videos on it and sold it off. People are still sleeping on third Gen Chargers so there is some time left before the price goes up. I think the third gen chargers look great and will grab on...
Not sure how much this helps. I'll try to get more info on the engine. If I'm correct pre 72 440s had more horsepower than the latter ones because of the fuel crisis.
Joe Suchy has it. Comes in a roll and has to be cut to size. I used plywood strips to simulate the glass for gluing. Don't get crazy with the amount of glue.
