Tell me more. What exactly is the A833OD. Is that a factory Chrysler.

Installing Hydroboost and bigger brakes in a 1970 Charger

Confirmation helps, though. Today at the junkyard, I looked at a few trucks/vans that had Hydroboost. I'm embarrassed but relieved at the same time. I found that in fact, I was plumbed backwards. I had pressure going in where it is supposed to be coming out. Here is proof: This Chevy Astro had a...

It looks like Chris Birdsong has been bitten by the third generation Charger bug!

I think the 3rd gen Plymouths look better, but I’m partial.

    Old T-Birds, who likes them

I think the same can be said for first generation Chargers. Until recently you couldn't give them away! They have ridden the coattails of the second gens and increased in value somewhat. They have Imperial build quality and just don't get the love.

    Gear Vendors on a A833

I switched from an A833 to a cast iron A833OD for a cross country trip, thinking I'd switch back after we returned home. Nope. It's great, inexpensive, kept my bench seat, no hacking the floor, direct swap to my bellhousing, shifter, driveshaft. 75mph @2,100rpm with 3.23s and a 28" tall tire.

    WTB 1962 - 1963 8-3/4" rear wanted

Not a 64 with those axles. No 62 plus drum to drum 65 to 67 B body are the narrowest besides A bodies.

You are correct. Still 800 rpm in my mind isn’t that much. GV advertises a .54 and .78. .54 would be more like what I would want that would put it at 2000. RPM at 70mph. But GV website doesn’t do a very good job of explaining the 4 different options they have. I also don’t like the idea of...

    Random picture thread

These shots are from my old highschool buddies engine shop in Smiths Falls, Ontario. Tim was experimenting with lift, ratios and bending push rods in his Dart's 440 WAY back in the mid '70's and is still at it all these years later... less the push rod bending that is! Has his two Son's fully...

    I think you've made a mistake in your calcs. For 4.10 gears with a 26" tire I get 2,900 rpm at 70 mph with a .78 O/D, and 3,700rpm with a 1:1 ratio at the same mph.

What was the first car you remember falling in love with?

This was the second car I wanted after the second generation Charger! I just got one last year.
