I could do without it as well. I actually prefer no power steering and no power brakes, but it’s an A/C car, and I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a bracket setup that accommodates A/C and no power steering. Were big blocks available with A/C and no power steering in a B-body?

So I was able to work on the transmission over the weekend. All new seals, steels and frictions. Nothing looked bad. Went to put the VB on and nothing but troubles from the park rod. No matter what I did, it kept dropping into the wrong spot, which is a little retarded on the engineering side...

Love burning oak. It is a bit hard on chains though. Ww never split any of it. As long as the pieces were small enough to go in the furnace door.
