I have the same model. And I agree that it is your car so do as you like. I am not a fan of the louvres without the top with 1 caveat: If you do the vinyl delete, get a louvre for the rear window. I feel that this would at least give the side louvres a place of belonging.

I'm sure someone would trade the OP for a "regular" box. BTW- 80's M body cars had "cop boxes" that are a bit firmer than std but not like a firm feel rebuild.

No, no it is not "simple as" removing the belt. PS box is WAY more difficult to turn without assist than a manual box.

Interesting, I have a firm feel 2 in my 69 charger with stock pump and firm feel upper control arms , welded Up lowers . I really like it . No slop I ever noticed. Sure beets the uncertainty of the over assist I remember from the sixty's. Made you A hole pucker when diving down narrow city...

Agree on it being your car... But that plastic plug doesn't really look finished if you remove the vinyl. It's designed to accept the vinyl, to fill the gap. You can kind of see it in your "after" pic.

67 didn't have tail stripes. R/T Could have a horizontal stripe at the bottom of the door level. Don't see too many with it.
