Legal issue with VIN on a B-J car today?

Here's an Update on the Second Car in this Thread. Looks like the mistake was made with the vin from the factory. The trunk lip does match the dash vin.

Had to produce a Birth Cert to renew my driver's license but not my.....

When I moved from Maryland to PA they asked for my SS card and birth certificate. They couldn't copy the SS card clear enough so I had to get another one. Came back and showed then that and a birth registration certificate. "We can't take that" I said you were excepting them last time I came in...

    Torqueflite selector rod differences?

I understand what year, I was questioning the orientation of the seal itself. Most seals will have the lip towards the fluid or grease. Mike states the open side goes up. I'm not sure what he might be saying. I just grabbed a random seal to show the solid side versus the lip side.

I'm getting close to switching to a roller cam in the big block!

I normally used a etching primer on aluminum before painting. I found one of these for checking installed height. Proform Part #66902 $50.00 I believe I found this compressor on Summit.

    Steering box coupler

I caught this video once before. The flat part of the shoe goes against the shaft and the curved side goes towards the housing.

    Steering box coupler

Pay close attention to the orientation of the shoes and the spring. I would doubt that the pin will come out. They're pressed in pretty tight. Bend the tabs on the cover just enough to remove it. They can break off if bent too far.

Max Wedge car in movie scene

Watching Leave it to Beaver the other day. It was the episode where Eddie quits school. The scene where he's working at a filling station, the principal stops in to talk with Eddie and he's driving a new '62 Polara 500. In the background there's a new '62 Dodge station wagon. I found the...

Gas stations 1/8 mile apart, one is 70 cents more a gallon than the other.

I worked at a Sunoco back in the day and in Maryland you weren't allowed to sell a gallon of gas for more than 6 cents profit. Sunoco had the five blends so you couldn't make anything off the mid grades. During that time I would see 30 cents or more difference from one town to the other. Now...
