It's getting there. Ballast on the track, finish the front and back of this area and fill in more details. A square foot at a time.

Back through the 70s to about 1980 my dad ran the Maryland division of Chessie before he was transferred to run the Michigan division. He told me about the Chessie Steam Special running the old main line that goes from Baltimore to Cumberland through all of the little towns like Ellicott city and sykesville, woodbine etc. So i went to Sykesville and took these pictures..
He didnt care for the the train running on "his" track because of the special provisions it needed and it tied up his freight schedule.

If you ever make to the Henry Ford museum they have a C&O Allegheny on display that is very impressive. The museum is well worth the trip and plan on spending all day there.

I still remember some thigs like they were yesterday.

That's how much of an impression they made on me at age 8 or 9.
