The right hand mirror I can get, the bracket for inside the door is in back order. These look Mostly the same and would seem to maybe just be flipped? Are they different for the contour or the door top? Thinking maybe a left hand could be used at least for awhile until a right hand could be...

I thought it was for the park brake release, but that is to the FAR left. I saw a pic online of something that looks like a remote (right hand) mirror adjuster. It is difficult to tell from the picture.

I googled it, that number is a right hand manual mirror that matches some 66 b bodies, 67 70 b bodies some A bodies and 67-8 C bodies. Google it and you will find information.
