Use meaning screwed to the inner fender? Not done at the plant. But you do see them there that folks installed. Back 40 years ago you never saw them on the inner fender or any holes for them. There were many survivor cars, unrestored projects and racecars and stripped shells around to look...

My car is all assembled, not in much of a position to take the dash apart.

Photo is a 68-69 tach, but this is what your 67 clock should look like also. No wire or socket on it at all.
It is just one wire with a black plastic bulb socket on the end, it has the teeth all around to secure itself in the hole under the blue dome.
I believe it comes out from the fuse box to the clock.
Good question. They all had the same pan. If the stick is different length the tube would need to be also.
Was the dipstick tube shaped differently to clear A/C lines?
I have seen 915's on 67 383 engines. Uncommon but not out of the question. Many of my cohorts in mopars have seen this also. I'm talking in the 80's when these cars were not worn out and rebuilt 3 times.
Pretty easy to spot most head change jobs, plug wire looms in wrong place or missing...
