PM me when you find a pin. $50 for a OEM pin doesn't sound too bad to me. If you want your car to be correct and for the reverse lights to come on, you may have to just "bite the bullet" and purchase a pin.

Look over the pictures I posted and you will see two screw holes. On the other side is a single screw hole. These are for mounting the backup light switch. The switch is just inside the firewall. Is your switch like that?

I have looked over the wiring diagram and it is a straight shot yellow tr wire from the headlight switch to the parking lights. I have put my testing light on this wire and just like the parking lights themselves, power turns off when the headlights are turned on.

Whew..what a relief. I guess I assumed that the parking lights stayed illuminated with the headlights. A great big THANK YOU to dadsbee and 1 Wild R/T. What year did parking/running lights stay on with the headlights? I suppose it was something that the Government required at some point.
