I've been think I might like to install power brakes on my 62 Fury. When I bought the car it had an after market PB system small cheap did not work. So I converted to manual brakes. Have any of you guys used a stock newer year brake booster from like a 68-78 etc ??? or something that has worked...
I will be replacing My 727 with a 46RH A518 overdrive unit. I will be replacing the cooler lines to 3/8". Would it be OK to run the fluid through the stock radiator cooler , and then into a large external cooler with 3/8" line size. I get that the stock cooler would create a flow restriction...
Does anyone know where I can get the white nylon/plastic trim clips that retain the wide stainlees trim on Plymouth Fury, on the roof line above the doors/ above the drip rail. There are 6 per side. Could use 12 of them. Looks like there was a push pin inserted to expand them to keep them in place.
I've seen where a lot of people have used a 727 slip yoke with they're 46RH/42RH swaps. But I've also read the the 46RH/42RH's yoke is not exacty the same as the 727. What has worked for you ? is there any real difference ?
Does anyone have any misc Push button valve body parts ? looking for rooster comb and low tension detent spring. Don't need complete VB unless it is cheap.
Were there any internal upgrades between the V6 42RH comparied to the V8 version ? Number of clutches etc. And would they be overly important on a 250hp driver cruiser ? Also do the cooler lines need to be increased from 5/16 to 3/8 ( the only problem I see with that is the internal cooler...
I have an A500 overdrive transmission. At some point I would like to install it into my 62 Fury. I know I will need to use a different shifter., and have a drive shaft made. But my question is, How well does it fit ? And if you need to do work on the floor pan, and how much. Any pictures...
I have thought of installing an A500/A518 into my B body wagon for some time now. My current axle ratio is 3.23 and a tire dia under 27.00" . the over drive is .69/1 which would give me an RPM of around 1850 ( or so) at 65 MPH. I do have a stock converter. The engine is a 1962 Poly 318...
Tight budget build ! The hard board healiner in my 62 Fury was shot. I'm sure some of you have replaced it with some other material ( when the price is just more than you could spend). So what material worked out for you. It has the be strong enought to not sag, and flexible enough to bend...
If any of you have a 62-64 wagon that has a cloth / vinyl..headliner ...how many bow rods are in the headliner. I know there were 6 bows used for the hardboard headliners. And wouth think the soft headliner should be the same. But I found a supplier listing 64 fury wagon soft headliner with 8...
My 62 fury wagon had the hardboard headliner, that was trashed. Have any of you guys install the conversion type headliner (cloth type with bows) ? If so I have questions. Does it come with any need extra mounting parts ( if needed) ? I found one supplieer that show 1962,63,64 are the same...
OK wagon guys, How does the flip down 2nd row rear seat back rest cushion get removed from the solid flip down section...removing back rest cushion from the supported hinged assy ?
Trying to cut down drone of a dynomax14" super turbo muffler. Was thinking of using some cheap glass pack type mufflers, to use as resonators near the tailpipes. Will this help ? Don't want to replace muffler / look to be in good condition.
, as does the whole exhaust system. I think some...
First let me say, some of you will give opinions about NOT using trim rings on Police wheels, I'm not interested in them. Now onto my question. Has anyone found polished trim rings that will fit the police wheel, that cover the outter ring barrel of the wheels ? I don't care if they're...
I have a 62 Fury wagon, The badges are old and worn. The orginal Fury bages were somewhat plain. I've been thinking of rebadging it as a " Sport Fury " ..and yes I know there is no such thing as a " Sport Fury" Wagon, But those badges look so much nicer...Thoughts ? Also Orginal 62 badge...
