On the wiring harness for a 69 Charger with A/C what is this red wire used for? A test light shows that it has power when the key is turned on.

I took the 69 Charger out for a test drive today...I was about three miles from my house on the entrance ramp to Route 22 West when my car just died on me... I called my son and he came down with some tools etc. The car was not
getting any spark.... Couldn't find problem so we called for a...
Was talking with a friend on this, he says the Regular Gas (93 Octane) will Degrade the Racing gas (110 octane). I always thought it was the opposite. If you have and 20 gallon fuel tank and have 10 gallons of Regular 93 Octane gas and add 10 gallons of Racing Fuel at 110 Octane; what would be...
I have a 69 Charger with 727 trans and 8 3/4 rear, what other MOPAR driveshafts will interchange with this? I'm fairly certain that the GTX and RR and Superbee will, but what about the Coronets and Satellites, also what years
of these cars will interchange?
Tks,
Bob32268
I've noticed there are two different 727 transmissions for my 69 Charger, one is for the 383 with 2bbl and one for the 383 with 4 bbl. What are the differences ? Is the 383 4bbl trans more heavy duty than the 383 2 bbl ?
Could they interchange with no problems ?

I had to have my wipers on recently (1st time in over 5 years). Turned them off when I got the car back in the garage and this is as far as the wipers would recede (see pic). How do I get them to go back down into park position ?

I switched my 3:55 rear center section diff of my 69 Charger to a 3:23 Sure-Grip center section (8.75 489 case). Now, my speedometer is "off". I checked Classic Ind. catalog and they list the replacement gears by tooth count and color but not which rear end gear ratio that they are for. What is...
I'm putting a new (rebuilt) center section in my 69 Charger. The is an 8 3/4 Sure-Grip. 3:23, 489 case. What lubricant should I use; 90 weight, synthetic or what else? I know full well that I have to use a Friction-Modifier additive to
whatever I use.

Looking for a center section for a B body (69 Charger), 8 3/4 Sure-Grip, 489 case, 3:23 gears. Since these are hard to ship I would like it to be withing driving distance of Western Pa. Will come and
pick it up in my truck to bring back home, would also consider one with 3:55 gears if no 3:23's...
I need a center section from a 8 3/4 Sure-Grip rear end with 3:23 gear ratio. A friend has one I can have but he's not sure if it's a Sure-Grip or Open rear end. Is there any way to tell from markings ? Does anyone have a picture
of them side by side (Sure-Grip and Open) ?
Tks in advanced

Correct Transmission Speedo gear for a 69 Charger with 8 3/4 Sure-Grip 727 Trans with 3:23 gear ratio. Number of teeth and color, please.
Tks,

Is it possible to tell the rear-end gear ratio from some external stamping or code on a late 60's rear end, such as 3:23 or 3:55 or others ?
My rear end is a 489 case on a 69 Charger 3:55, looking to swap to a 3:23.

Are there any YOUTUBE type videos out there on how to change out motor mounts on 69 Dodge Charger? All the ones that I see are for newer model cars.

Well, I finally took of the Bias Ply Coker redlines and and got 4 new BF Goodrich Radial/TA's, (P225/70R14).... just took the car for a short drive (to the gas station, of course) as it was getting dark. There is a noticeable difference in the ride
which is what I was looking for. I like the...
Has anyone here used the Coker Red Line Radial tires ? If so, what do you think of them for ride and handling compared say, to B F Goodrich radials or Cooper Cobra radials ?
I currently have Red Line bias ply tires on my 69 Charger and am think of switching over to radials.
Tks,
Bob32268
My 69 Charger just doesn't ride as "smooth" as I'd like it to ride... I'm running F70 x 14 Redlines from Coker (Polyglas), have Magnum wheels all around. I had the tires balanced true, had the driveshaft balanced, new U-Joints. Naturally, I don't expect
it to ride as smooth as my new Honda CRV...
