My God they have crossed over to the dark side with all the annoying popups that disrupt your posting and now have ads written in chinese. The members have always been awesome helping with issues, but the people who run the site are invisible. Anyway, so glad I found For B Bodies Only and you...
440 with power steering. I have a 4 groove crank pulley, 1 groove water pump pulley, 2 groove alt and 2 groove A/C comp. The 2 belts ride the A/C comp, alt and crank pulley. The PS pump rides the water pump pulley and crank pulley. Can I put a double groove water pump pulley and just run a...
69 Charger 440 with electronic ignition conversion. I had a miss and pulled each plug wire at the cap and had no change in idle on cylinders 1,4,6 and 7. Carb was just rebuilt. ??
The 2 connectors, one has 2 wires and other has 3 wires. The resistor has a 5 ohm and 1.2 ohm side. Lets say the 5 ohm is on the top. Where do the connectors go? Or can I eliminate the ballast all together and put jumper wires across these connectors?
69 Charger 440. Finally got the beast running, but I don't like the "motor boat" sound coming from the exhaust https://app.photobucket.com/u/stumpy383/a/064a245c-67bb-416c-a1a3-be1902941f16/p/fdc4576c-e08d-4004-b8e4-7f9c90e01cf1. The entire exhaust is "new" as in never exposed to the elements...
69 Charger 440. Ever since redoing my fuel system, because it laid for 5 years with ethanol gas, and now running ethanol free rec 90, it sounds like a motor boat from the exhaust tips. Haven't taken it on the road yet to see if it pings. Still tuning the carb. Is the octane to low?
440 dual belts with A/C. Obviously not a matched set of belts. How are you guys putting tension on the alt to tighten these belts? The crow bar/pry bar is just not cutting it.
For my 440 with and Eddy 4bbl. In line in the rubber hose. Nothing fancy. Just something to read and dial up or down if necessary. What are you guys using??
Trying to ID a pump I found while cleaning out my parts bins. I assume its a Mopar, because that's all I have. It very similar in size to a Carter M6903. Its clocked the same and the rocker arm is almost spot on in shape, angle and dimensions. It's a very stout pump and has some weight to it...
69 Charger 440. Changed tank, line and pump. Do I just crank until it draws fuel to carb, or is there a way to prime line to avoid extended crank time?
