I have superformance water pump housing gasket and timing chain cover gaskets, to make sure they didnt leak i put permatex aviator form a gasket on both sides of each gasket. I need to take them off to put the gasket piece between the timing cover and oil pan. My question is, can I reuse the...
Im going to start buying parts for a new motor. Looking at the trick flow 270 heads with around 11.5 compression and a 690 lift roller cam. Stock stroke, mostly a wicked street car with occasional track time. Any suggestions as to other goodies i should consider for a potential 650 horsepower build?
So after getting the front of the motor back together I go to fill the radiator and antifreeze is leaking out the petcock. Go to get a new petcock, put thread sealer on it. Get it tight, and its leaking. Threads are good, and the lower tank is fine. What could be the problem?
After replacing the metal valley pan, I still have a vacuum leak. I ve never had this problem before, all I would do is put black silicone on the front and rear of the pan. Then bolt it down and put the intake on with nothing around the ports between intake and pan. Any suggestions?
What would the group think of this plug reading?

So I recently had a couple fan bolts come loose and dug themselves into the radiator. Glen Ray radiator said he could fix the damage and id only lose about 6 tubes out of 265. Whats everyone's thought on that? And he said he won't charge me to fix it since I bought it from him back in 2019.
Took the car out today, running a lot better. My afr's are anywhere from 12.9 to 14.5 at cruise. Still has a very small stumble, when I stab the throttle my afr's go to 16.2 then immediately drops down and the carburetor recovers. I've been running a 10.5 power valve for a couple years, should I...
Yesterday I took the car out for a cruise, it was running really good. No more stumble when I stab the throttle, but the tip of the plug is white and the rest is black. Just wondering why its like that?
So yesterday I took the car out for a cruise, car was running really good. Got home pulled a plug and the tip of the porcelain is white and the rest is black. On another note, when I go to stab the throttle it responds without hesitation.
Before I tore into the 440 to replace the cam and lifters and timing chain my autometer afr gauge worked the way it should. After I got the motor back together the afr gauge will stay at 14.7 once it's done it's normal countdown, everything is hooked up the same as before. I thought the sensor...
I have the indy cylinder head valve covers on 906 heads. Lately I can't get the passenger side cover to spot leaking in one spot. I got the Moroso Perm align gaskets which I was told are the best gaskets for these covers. Drivers side doesn't leak. What do i need to do for the leak to stop other...
When trying to break in a new cam and lifters my headers are glowing red. I don't know where the total timing is at with the new cam and lifters and timing chain. I've put in bigger jets in the primary side cause my plugs look as if I just took them out of the box. Any help would be appreciated.
So I was wondering if i could put the cork gasket piece that goes under the timing chain cover without pulling the water pump housing and timing cover off on a 440?
Is it possible to slip the cork gasket under the timing chain cover on a 440 with the motor all together? Just trying to avoid having to disassemble everything just to get that piece in if possible.
