Kind of off topic for Mopar, but I know there's a big knowledge base on this site. My best friend has a boat with VDO oil pressure gauges. Unfortunately, when he pulled the engines he discarded the original sending units and replaced them with new ones that were supposed to be compatible.

I thought I had the right pulleys for my 1969 non-ac w/ power steering 440 build. The water pump pulley is 6-7/8” and the crank pulley is 6-3/4”. They are very close together and the alignment is off about a 1/4”. Do I have the wrong water pump pulley, crank pulley or both?
Just wanted to send a big thank you to 65CopCar for helping me with a part that I needed. There are still really good people out there in cyber space, and especially in this community!!
Much appreciated!!

I would like to paint my Steath heads engine color. What products are recommended? I've read to clean then use self- etching primer, followed by engine primer, and then the top coat. Is the self- etching primer heat resistant?
Thank you
Admittedly it has been many moons since I started a fresh engine to break in non-roller lifters. The more articles I read and watch videos, the more I'm worried I may screw this up. This is a mild performance build 440 with a comp cams cam and Johnson lifters. All I have seen state that you get...
Not a B-body story, but I'd wanted to share a Mopar tale.
For many moons, since I was a kid, I have vivid memories of a blue 1970 6-pack cuda driving in my neighborhood. As a 15 year old that car had it all, stripes, loud dual exhaust, hood pins, steering mounted Suntach and I wanted it (or one...
I am in the planning process to swap out a 318/ 904 to a 440/ 727 in a '68 B body. The 440 will have aluminum heads and intake as well as tubular headers. The car has its original suspension. Will it be necessary to change out the bars or will an adjustment help with the added weight?
Thank you.
Planning on swapping out the small block/ 904 trans for a 440/ 727 trans soon. I will be working mostly by myself, so my question. Would it be better to remove the transmission first then engine? I do have a engine picker and floor type tranny jack.
Installing the new BB, same in reverse order...
Crap is getting real! Now they're after high value kitty cats.
I will be carrying when I'm out driving my cars for sure.

For a Mopar 440 and 727 transmission, when did the factory use 10" vs 11" flex plates? When purchasing a new torque converter for street performance use, what would be the advantage to one over another?
One of my garage doors is a 9'x8' commercial duty wood door, and is pretty heavy. When my lift was installed the track was raised about 2' so the door would go up closer to the 10' ceiling. This would allow the door to clear a car that was up on the lift.
The 2 original springs (the coil type)...
Looking for some information on the difference between a mopar 7 blade for 440 with a 22” 3 pass radiator. The 2863226 fans that I see for sale are much more expensive. This is not a concours restoration, just a big block upgrade.
Trying to avoid electric or clutch type fans.
