My K member appears to have been welded and repaired. Just factory sloppy or? There was some damage in the past as evidenced by other front end pieces.
Blast, repaint and reuse or future structural failure?
69 Bee - Power Steering Gearbox
I have already rebuilt the pump, purchased new lines etc. The engine out and this is easy to get to. I have no idea if the internal condition, tho no visible leaks.
I would hate to it put it back in and there be issues with too much play etc etc
I do have a...
This is on 1969 Super Bee, 383, 330 hp version. Looks like the ones online for the idiot lights and not the gauge. I have the gauge of course, electric not plumbed in.
Since I purchased the car, Tthe engine was only running for a short period of time moving it around and I really don’t recall...
69 Bee, 383 4 speed (330 horsepower version, factory air);
Anyway, I have the 5 leaf on both sides. Need rebuilding and I don’t have time, too many other things to rebuild. I will replace them.
Out of stock at General Springs.
How would the Mopar performance 6 leaf work to use for both...
Purchased the stand from Mancini. Not cheap but I don’t have the time to fabricate and build one. Pretty heavy duty, strong wheels and putting it together and use is pretty straightforward.
After heating and using breaker bar repeatedly and getting it at least over half out, I did this. It felt like it broke loose finally but it just broke.
Impact would not turn it so I applied heat and force with the 1/2” breaker bar.
Apparently rusted in, the other bolt came out with some...
I’m approximately 80% complete with restoration of my 69 Super Bee. It has 4 speed and factory air, D21 and H51 (fender tag pic prior to restoration attached).
I am restoring the original ac, have already had the heat ac box restored as well as the compressor.
One thing that confused me when...
The hits (pun intended) just keep coming on my right front side suspension. 69 Bee. There is more and more evidence of being hit, and then super sloppy work rebuilding.
Anyway, the right side has had the lugs replaced and I assume to make them uniform and RH thread. They really did a...
Sway bar tabs missing or damaged on my 69 Bee. Could get by with just the passengers side, driver side may be repairable. Prefer a set. Condition ok as long as they are rebuildable.
I’m rebuilding my suspension. Someone has mangled the threads on one of my strut rods a bit and i need to purchase the correct size tap and die. Front of the rod is course, rear is fine.
I have a 1/2 and a 5/8 for the rear, but neither seems to be correct (I’m using the correct tread) 1/2...
This evidently has been on car and used with no issues for quite some time, but a bit of the outer ring is missing, probably hit at one time. Assuming all else is good, any issues in continuing to use this? Does not seem to affect anything I can think of.
On another note, I had forgotten...
I’m about to get into my front suspension and replace, repair as needed etc. I was looking to rebuild these lower control arms and add the strengthening kit etc, but the tabs for the sway bar is missing on one and bent on the other, hole appears reamed out as well.
The sway bar was missing...
Purchased a new oil pan, EBay (may have been my first mistake). The bottom of the new pan is smaller length wise, about 8” vs 10” on existing. The existing is about 4” plus depth vs 5” on the new one. The old does not stick down much lower than the k member. This one will. All indications...
Pulled mine today on my 69 Bee, 383. Noticed some rubber on backside of balancer coming off, old and brittle. Time to rebuild? Replace balancer? Is rubber user replaceable? Etc etc. Forgot to take a pic but can tomorrow. TIA
I have a new sway bar and kit coming from Summit per recommendations from others here, much appreciated.
In getting ready to install when it arrives I removed these brackets from k frame to clean up, blast, repaint etc. They look mangled on the ends and it appears there may have been hole...
Sway bar question regarding my 1969 Super Bee I'm restoring; K member has the brackets, but no sway bar on car, did it likely come with a sway bar installed from factory? and if so what size, etc? If I need the sway bar, and I assume I do, I would like to keep something close to factory and...
