How to remove firewall connector bulkhead?

This could be posted in either "Interior" or "Electrical", my apologies if it's posted incorrectly. I want to detach the clump of wires on the interior where they attach to the firewall so I can remove my instrument panel ('70 Charger). I see no screws, on either inside or engine-side. On the...

Upper door pad crack filling and repair ideas?

I'm going to see how much I can improve my original white '70 Charger upper door pads. Before I re-dye them black, please share your ideas on filling some of the bigger cracks in the vinyl. Thanks!

Got any tips on installing repro cardboard glovebox liner? '70 Charger

I'm wondering how to finagle my repro cardboard glovebox liner into my Charger--without damaging it. I can get the left-side flap over the fuse block and get it jammed in about halfway but it's fighting me all the way just to get to that point and starting to bend & deform. Got any tips? Slide...

WTB One driver door armrest pad, '70 Charger - black

Looking for a single driver side armrest pad in black for a 1970 Charger. Somehow I have 2 passenger side ones in very good condition, and a driver side pad that's smooth and lacks the perimeter stitching. I also have 2 decent spare rear armrest pads. Also have a nice chrome console rear plate...

    Water shield question: '70 Charger

I got some polyethylene sheet drawn up and cut out for the front door water shields, those went in fairly easily. The old glue lines showed me where to apply the fresh butyl tape, pasted the sheet on and tucked it in at the bottom groove. However, the area below the quarter windows under the...

'70 Charger wire connector in search of mate

I finished installing new carpets in my '70 Charger, then reconnected all the wires at the driver side kick panel. Everything matched up except for this odd connector. I could not find it's mate anywhere. This is coming down from above, not from the rear of the car under the wire cover. What is...

Identify this clip - '70 Charger auto console

I found this laying on the ground under the car yesterday. I believe it's to secure one of the shift linkage parts. I'm guessing the vertical rod to the left of the shifter assembly that goes through the floor to the transmission? I'd already used cotter pins to secure the linkages.

FOUND Need one front seatbelt mounting boot - 1970 Charger

I was restoring my decades-old seatbelts, they turned out quite nicely with a good scrubbing with Dawn dish soap and hot water, but unfortunately one of the rubber boots covering the mounting tabs was ripped. Anybody have a spare please? Grendel thanks you!

FOUND Need the black roller wheel beneath accelerator pedal '70 Charger

While installing new carpets in my '70 Charger, I discovered the little black roller wheel that's supposed to be fitted to the pedal linkage, under the accelerator pedal, was completely missing. My body man must've lost it when he removed the pedal when welding in the new floor pans. Does anyone...

    Identify my knob :)

Over a decade ago, I was talking to a coworker in his office and noticed this shifter sitting on his table, that I recognized immediately. This guy had a 30-something hot rod so I asked him what the shifter was for, because it was similar to the one in my '70 Charger. He said a friend gave it to...

1970 Charger carpet install: Where to position rear carpet?

I have most of my Kilmat deadener installed and will soon be putting in the new carpets. Quick question: As the rear carpet goes in first, where exactly should I position it before the front carpet goes in? A few pics of the correct position would be great, and show the correct amount of overlap...

1970 Charger seat frame spring question

I had the seat frames out of my car for restoration and upon reassembly, I noticed only the driver side frame had this thick beefy spring, in addition to the small yellow outer spring for the adjuster lever, and the cable that joins the adjuster levers on both halves. However, the passenger side...

    "The Mopar" build video

Has anyone else seen this cool video, "The Mopar"? I thought it was fascinating with a unique presentation style; no dumb music, no minutes-long preamble, no narration, no explanation...just demonstration. I also thought it was interesting that he did all the recording himself, no...

Looking for good picture of back side of Rallye Dash panel

Does anybody have a '70 Charger Rallye Dash instrument panel they can take a good photo of the back side (or already have a photo), identifying the fastener locations? It would sure make locating the various mounting bolts easier to find if you know whereabouts they are. Thanks.

Options to fix engine bay to fender seam

While I was installing new fender splash shields on my '70 Charger, I noticed light shining through to the engine bay from inside the fender where there is a seam between the panels. The car originally had a large bead of black (or painted black) sealant of some sort, that is now decomposing and...

1970 Charger front sidemarker wire question

I need to solder on a new 2-wire connector onto the forward light harness for the right front sidemarker. The pigtail on the sidemarker has the correct black wire with yellow trace (exposed male pin) + black wire (female socket), but someone has replaced the sidemarker wires on the right side of...

The latest annoying trend: notched spoilers

It seems everywhere you look these days, cars are sporting these notched spoilers: It's annoying to me because the functional reason for a spoiler is downforce, yet you reduce any benefit of it by notching out a chunk. Form before function, I guess. Maybe I'm the only one that hates the...

Pentastar emblem: best adhesive to use?

I know this has been covered, but looking for suggestions on this specific application. My '70 Charger already has the 2 holes in the fender to mount this rare gold metal Pentastar emblem (I know it's an older mid-60's emblem not correct for my car, but it's much better quality than the cheap...

'70 Charger park light housings: Why is everything such a pain?

I tried to install my restored park light housings with new repro lenses to my front valance. You'd think this should be idiot-simple, 3 bloody screws per side, but do you think I could get them all lined up with the mounting tab on top and bolted in?! Nope! The valance is off the car and...

WTB Still looking for '70 B-Body antenna bezel; front bumperette rubber inserts

I'm still on the hunt for a decent, presentable driver-quality antenna bezel ring. I have everything else to reinstall my '70 Charger antenna. Unfortunately the cost plus shipping plus exchange rate makes buying a repro a rather ludicrous $50 - $60 cost. Also looking for one decent front...
