I think I bought a huge piece of **** and I dont think this will ever be drivable. No matter how much work and time I put into this Charger, I just keep getting it up my ***. I'm having the feeling I never should have bought this car. Problem is, I have more money into it then Its worth...
I closed my hood today so I can try moving my 67 Charger in the driveway. I went to unlock the hood, and it seems the rod from the handle that is used to unlock the hood, fell out and is not connected to the hood lock. I thing the little grommet for that rod is missing, and thats probably why is...
When the prior owner pulled the axles to install the rear disc brakes, would all the axle fluid leak out? Its an 8 3/4 sure grip. When I'm moving the car back and forth in my driveway, I'm hearing all sorts of odd noises. Is there a plug on top I can check for axle lub? I wouldn't be surprised...
I put in a new set of upper control arms and tried to grease them up the ball bearings today. Well, for some reason they will not take any grease. I first I thought it was the zerk fitting, so I changed it. Then I took off the zerk fitting and put it in the grease gun and grease was flowing now...
I finally put together the front end and put the wheels on. I tried moving the car back and forth and feel and sounds like the damn wheels are going to fall off. :BangHead: I put a level and it was a couple of inches off, it not more. I want to get it a little squared away, but what's the best...
Has anyone replaced their override and 4-way flasher toggle switches without paying the money for new ones? I found an override switch, but they are asking $135 for it. I'm trying to find a toggle switch that has a 7/16 28 thread so I can use the original dress nut. I figure if I was able to use...
I found that after tightening the tie rod sleeves they still turn easily. The previous owner replaced them and they look correct, but like I said, they still turn by hand easily. I’m thinking they used the wrong ones?
I was able to get the headlight doors to open today, but they won't close. I changed all the relays and limit switches. I pulled the override switch and cannot get continuity no matter what I try. Can I just add a jumper to this switch and see if the doors will close? And do I really need to...
Looks like I have a nice puddle under my Charger that I haven't had the pleasure of driving yet. It looks like it the dipstick tube seal. Do I really have to drop the pan, or can I just catch whatever fluid drops? The car is up on jackstands, so working on it isn't so bad, I just don't want to...
I'm wondering if I could get a replacement plug for where the engine harness plugs into the forward light harness. The harness's are in good shape and I wouldn't want to replace the whole harness.
I have a Pertronix II distributor in my 67 Charger with a 383. When I bought the car, to get it running we used a coil from Advance Auto that's for points. I have to upgrade to Pertronix flamethrower coil for this setup. I was looking into using a relay as I cannot use the ballast resistor with...
These cars are way too cheap on this site. Charger 1967 - Trovit. Look at the one they list for $9000. ****, the gold one for $17,000 is a steal. If this was true, it’s not worth fixing my 67.
Both of the bumpers are shot. I tried to turn it with some pliers and it fell apart. Now how the hell do I take this out? It looks like the nut is attached and cannot be removed. Any ideas?
I was feeling around under the dash of my 67 Charger looking for the turn signal and 4-way flashers. I could not find them. Where should I be feeling around?
I installed the drivers side tubular upper control arm and this is how it went. The bushing fits nice and tight, but look at that gap between the arm and where it sits. I bought them from parts geek and it says it’s for a 67 Charger.
I was checking out why I’m not getting 12 volts at my headlights. The turn signal and parking lights do work, and Im getting a clicking with the headlights on, like the motor is trying to work. I could not find a fuse on that circuit with a wiring diagram. Is it maybe with the hide away...
