Yes, I have observed the movement with someone else turning the wheel. I expect that there should be zero movement but have not found a lot of resources regarding this. From what I have seen so far, it does appears there is likely some compromise to the weld. It appears the mount is attached to...
I’m dealing with an issue where the steering box mount on the K-member seems loose and is flexing noticeably.
I recently noticed more play and sloppiness in the steering, especially when driving. I found some of the steering box bolts on the K-member were loose. I tightened them up, but the...
Your responses were helpful and caused me look a lot harder at the issue overall. I was focusing too narrowly on the front corners.
I found that the bracket the latch is mounted on was loose, allowing the movement. I was able to fix this and the issue is resolved. This was also the cause of the...
Thanks, I do agree with the comments…seems it would just be an adjustment issue.
All the rubber is new. The hood aligns great with the fenders and cowl currently and I don’t have any downward "give" when it is closed...so I feel it’s sitting on the bumpers well.
I did consider trying to drop...
Air lifts the front corners of the hood under normal highway speeds.
Depending on the wind, the hood bounces against the rubber bumpers and I can see where this is causing indention on the underside of the hood. This will only get worse over time.
Am I missing something that would help secure...
Thanks all. I will start with checking the connector and brake switch. Previous research led me to buy the Shee-Mar brand signal switch, is this still the best option?
Turn Signals = NO
Brake Lights = NO
Taillights = Yes
Hazards = Yes
All has been working fine since my rebuild several years ago, but just today I have lost my turn signals and brake lights. The fuses are good. There is no clicking from the signal relays. Al bulbs are working for taillights and...
I know this may be a bit of a vague question that can solicit all kinds of responses. I am not a professional engine builder by any means, this is a hobby build and I am learning as I go. One place I am falling short is carburation, so I figure why not ask the Mopar masses.
I have outlined...
Oops, I missed a could of reply notifications on this.
I replaced the voltage limiter, I now get an occasional reading from both gauges so I too am leaning toward a possible ground issue.
Is there a particular place on the dash or cluster that I should run the ground too? The voltage...
I am not much of an electrician but this weekend I hope to determine why the TEMP and FUEL gauges are not functioning on my 1967 Satellite. Everything is new except the wiring harness, which was pulled and re-installed after restoration.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!!
I did find a part at rt specialties as well as another that list them as a 66 Belvedere/67 Satellite clip and have sent a request to them as well. I have messages into them also since these parts are visibly different and without measurements, I was just hoping someone had some first hand...
I am in search of side molding clips for a 1967 Plymouth Satellite. I am able to find a couple of sets that are either from GTX or Belvedere, neither of these clips visually resemble the clips original clips I have. Does anyone know either where to find, or what will work? Thanks!
