    There is a partial vin stamped on the passenger's side CR1242(5 or 3)9. Based on the build date stamped on the trans and the part number, it was manufactured in 1981 for the 1982 Imperial with a 318 V8. Can't be 100% sure until I get inside and check the valve body date.

    Wheel/Tire Sizing - 63-65 B's

    Stock tapered rear axle. 15 x 5 1/2 with 4" back spacing on the front and 15 x 8 with 4.5" back spacing on the rear. Tires are 215/R70s front and 275/R60 rear. Tight fit but no rubbing.

    I used an 18" rigid race fan with steel blades on mine (Summit Racing # DER-17318). It's rated to 8000 rpm and with my home made shroud works fine and keeps my mild build 440 at 180 degrees even in the Texas summer heat.

    318 POLY No Oil to Rockers While Priming

    You need to rotate the crankshaft while priming the oil system. As memory serves the rockers are fed by oil galleys that are supplied by the camshaft bearings. You need to rotate the crank to line up the holes in the cam with the oil galleys to supply oil to the rockers just like the early hemis.
