My MSD vacuum advance is not adjustable btw....and I always use 102 octane fuel over here.
Also, if I disconnect the vacuum advance (it is disconnected permanently now) there is no pinging, but even then I...
Hi,
I have a mild 440 HP (1971 engine) in my 65 Coronet and was wondering if a step colder plugs than a 85 Autolites would bring down the heat a bit?
Another problem I have is pinging with vacuum advance hooked up and timing set 7° BTDC. Mechanical advance is limited at 19°. Shouldnt be...

The horn of my 65 Coronet is not working properly, I tried to adjust and repair it but it is just an old pain.

Great choice dude!
Ask Charly Quarters here at the forum for a trunk medaillon, he has some re-pops that are much cheaper.

I`m glad it wasnt too late Frank! :headbang:
There are 2 hole spacers on the market btw, but I did exactly the same like you and drilled a 2nd hole in it.
Greetings from Germany,

You have to drain the fluid and drop the oil pan.
If it does not shift into 3rd your second oil pump might be blocked.
A deep pan requires a filter spacer, make sure it has 2 holes in it!!!!!
Early 727 have two pumps, keep that in mind.
I had the same problem, bought a rebuilt cable shift 727...
I wouldnt buy a champion radiator they are crap.
Try to find a oem BB radiator and make sure you can install a fan shroud, you`ll need it with the 440!
