OK here's the skinny.....I sold the car for $17,000. I get the feeling that this could be a quick flip.....not sure. The buyer just didn't seem to ask the questions that a guy who was gonna work on the car would ask. Sorta feel like he may have someone in his pocket that wants a...

Greedy Incompetent Transmission Shop-Possible Spun Crank Bearing

I agree with Sparky. I'm not that much of a gearhead but I have rebuilt 2 torqueflites with great success. Now I KNOW whats inside and the care that was used putting it together. There is a virtual tranny class on you-tube. That plus the factory manual will make it easy. I had to fabricate...

PSA : please carry an extinguisher...

i don't think it was the fire extinguisher that really saved the day. He disconnected the battery....otherwise it would have just kept burning, long after the extinguisher was empty......QUICK THINKING SAVED THE DAY.

    Easy said then done.

Yeah man....my first engine replacement was done under a willow tree branch with a borrowed chainfall. It was only a slant 6 in a "62 4 dr Belvedere...my first car..$50... it's the photo in my profile. I raised the car on a bumper jack to get clearance underneath to work w/ chunks of firewood...

Hi neighbor: About 8 miles....took it to alignment shop. Not drivable now....no interior, glass is out. I run it every couple months to keep it lubed. It has electrical issues at the bulkhead connector-no surprise there-original wiring- so I start it under the hood.

need advice-thinking of selling 70 GTX numbers match project car

Not really drivable cause the interior is gutted, all glass is out and so many holes in roof and floors. I've had it for 18 years......too many houses to flip, moves, etc. just time to move on....maybe buy a driver. I would rather not screw up a classic that could be properly restored.
