So I just drove the car with the 115° LSA cam, very happy. It was worth the effort to get that other cam outa there. Smooth idle, works great with the 727. Torque is better, get a real nice 2nd gear scratch with 3:23's. :-) Great manners. Wife will be able to drive and enjoy her car...
Pretty sure timing is 20 initial, and 34-36 total now
Looking at this cam:
Cam Style: Hydraulic flat tappet
Basic Operating RPM Range: Idle-5,800
Duration at 050 inch Lift: 228 int./241 exh.
Advertised Duration: 268 int./284 exh.

Hi All,
So I'm not real happy with the way our car is working. Had an engine built by a local race motor guy and here is what's going on:
Problems, won't idle in gear after it gets warm, at lights, etc. hard to start when warm. Just all around bad manners.
Engine temps seem reasonable...
Here is our '67 GTX. Almost done after 3+ years. Working the bugs out now, and I'm making some custom center caps for it.
This is at a small local cruise night. Local photographer snapped this one. I'll be buying a print. :-)
You are correct sir! We are having this very issue with our recently completed 67 GTX with a front disc conversion using factory parts. So thankful for this information!

Wow it even says Caplugs on it! I wonder why the guy sent me on my way?!?
Thanks all, ordered the one off Ebay.
FBBO Came through again! Thanks all!!

I didn't think of Caplugs. I've used their stuff in the past for fabrication projects. I called 'em, they said no oval plugs.
Thanks for the suggestion though.

Hi All,
Getting very close to done on our '67 GTX. Just need to find that oval rubber body plug that goes in the firewall next to the steering column. I think it is where a clutch rod would go through if it were a 4 speed. Not sure about that, but anyway it's 1-5/16" wide by 2" long. Not...
I ordered an M&H for our '67 GTX. And waited for months. After several "vendor updates" I called M&H direct and was told "the" order for my year harness (which must have been my order I am assuming) basically had no priority and might not ever get built. The dash side harness was holding up the...
Hi,
I've gotten a lot of help from a lot of folks on this forum, and I really appreciate all of it! Anyway, we are restoring our wire harness and found the fuse box is a very weak link. I thought about getting **** and having all the contacts replated, but decided to modify the fuse box to...
So we have been looking for a set of Heat / AC control buttons for our '67 GTX. Can't find any anywhere. It's the LAST thing we need to finish the dash.
I'm looking in the garage rafters for our cat (long story) and I see a wiring harness... I pull it out and still attached is a vacuum...
