The 65 Belvedere II that I'm working on has the same stamping. I bought it from the son of the original owner and has about 60,000 original miles. I'm partial to 65's since I bought a new one in 65. It was a 383 4 speed car.

I must be cheap, my cut paper clip trick looks like that, but minus the handle.

Are there 2 tabs? If so, cut a paper clip so it's "U" shaped, and then push down on each side to release. It worked for my 65 Belvedere.

What script date code spark plug wires would be used on May built big block 1965 Belvedere? It seems that a 3rd quarter code would be used for late 64 and early 65 and a 1st quarter code is used for late 65 early 66. Is this correct? Thanks /
